Where is rosswood bc

Rosswood Community Hall There are some exciting things going on Rosswood right now. The community is currently working with a grant to restore the wonderful community log hall with the addition of a garden on the hall grounds welcoming everyone here.

Bear Country Just remember if you are enjoying the countryside around Rosswood please remember this is Bear Country as is the rest of BC. Try to avoid the rivers during heavy salmon spawning times unless you feel comfortable with bears around. There is also the possibilities of encounters with wolves or cougars so please play it safe and practice good outdoor wildlife procedures.

Information on Rosswood. Rosswood General Store. Since I was here — and the time was right — I veered off the road and into the Rosswood General Store parking lot. Located in the sleepy township of Rosswood, the General Store is quite literally the only shop in town.

As such, I imagine it carries a pretty high significance, from a practical standpoint, with the locals. Nestled within the beautiful Nass Valley, and with its old-timey exterior, the Rosswood General Store just sort of naturally calls out to you.

It exudes a character reminiscent of ye olde western town in look and spirit. It does so through the conservative use of local photos on the wall; a taxidermied animal head; and an emphasis on healthy local products such as homemade baked treats, fresh herbs and denizen meat products.

The small library was apparently added to Rosswood General last year and is, I think, a fine addition. It rounds out the general store experience: Cozy atmosphere, good books to read and local products. BluetoGrey Victoria, Canada contributions. We stopped by Rosswood on our way to the Lava Fields and it was a great experience! I discovered a new favourite brand of lemonade and we stocked up on nicely packaged trail mixes and local jerky. They had all sorts of great souvenirs and supplies.

I would absolutely recommend stopping by if you're nearby. OnAnotherJourney Canada contributions. You Can't Drive by Without Stopping in!! Don't be fooled by the simple exterior - there is a treasure trove of goodies in there. From organic to gluten free to homemade baked goods to local meats and coffee there is something for everyone in here at reasonable prices. I'll repeatedly return without question!

What a great little store to explore. Full of spices, vegan and organic products, different brands, lots of goodies, homemade baked goods, local meats, etc. The last entrance is just past Wesach Creek and provides walk-in access to the spawning channel. Come by during the summer months to see the channel absolutely full of spawning fish as well as the bald eagles and bears that come down to enjoy the feast. The entrance to Wesach Falls is located just before Wesach Creek.

If you pull into the little parking space off the highway, to your left you will see the unmarked trail that leads you to the roaring falls. To hike the mountain you can drive part way up on an old logging road located just south of Douglas Creek and then you can hike to the top.

There is also an abundance of blueberries to keep you going on your way up. Make sure to bring water jugs to fill up. This towering structure is actually a horse barn with five levels: the ground level is for horses, the second is for hay, the third is a tack room, the fourth will have solar panels on the east, south and west side, and the fifth is an observatory with sleeping quarters so you can sleep close to the stars.

Also in the works is a wooden sculpture called the Rosswood Mosquito, so keep your eye out for that along the road. This hall was built through volunteer labour in the s and recently had a new roof put on it, financed by Terrace lottery winner Bob Erb.
