Why does infinity ward hates treyarch
On CoD4 it just filters out games with the map pack. I find it's better to play the game than go along with the flow. Although, yeah, most magazines and sites say it's the worst Call of Duty game. It or Big Red One. The campaign might have been a bit hard to follow with all the different soldiers and stuff, but the multiplayer was addictive. I find that Treyarch betters Infinity Ward in some areas though.
Treyarch have looked after WaW quite well, by offering downloadable content and patching glitches. Plus, they offered up Nazi Zombies, which is extremely addictive.

It's Activision that insists on a Call of Duty game every year, and Infinity Ward knows that they would not be able to put out an exceptional product on an annual basis, so Activison throws the IP at Treyarch in the odd years.
Never really thought of it that way Member since: Jul. When it comes down to the nitty-gritty, Treyarch's faster gameplay is just a more enjoyable experience.
In Black Ops 4, Treyarch introduced gamers to a Call of Duty battle royale, which is basically a requirement in a shooter these days. While the game was initially loved, it ultimately left much to be desired.
With Infinity Ward having the benefit of extra time to implement their take on the subgenre, Warzone quickly became one of the best battle royales on the market. Many of the staples from Blackout were there at the launch of Warzone.
However, the introduction of missions, loadouts, and a purchase system helped the game surpass its predecessor. Furthermore, Warzone incorporated crossplay, and unlike Blackout, it is free-to-play. Throughout the early Modern Warfare titles, Infinity Ward created some of the best maps in the franchise. Terminal, Crash, and Highrise, all Infinity Ward maps, are some of the best-loved in the franchise. The problem is that Infinity Ward has also been responsible for a lot of the more forgettable CoD maps, thus bringing down their overall average in this match-up.
Although no one specific Treyarch map is necessarily a fan favorite, the company's three-lane system has set the standard for the series. With it, players are able to know the basic layout before they even play the map, leading to more consistently solid maps from the company overall.
Except for the Zombies Mode leads, Treyarch has fallen short in creating memorable characters for the series. Throughout the first three Modern Warfare titles, however, Infinity Ward created the majority of the Call of Duty characters that are still talked about today.
Although the last game in the trilogy is nine years old, fans of the games can name several key characters and moments from the set of games. When Sledgehammer released Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the title breathed new life into the series.

User Info: Porsche They thought working on a modern game was risky and [thought], 'oh my god you can't do that, it's crazy!
Modern Warfare was a much more compelling setting for them anyway. Now, people have to remember something here. If you were to travel back in time to and ask the average Gamestop patron who Infinity Ward was, you likely would have gotten a blank stare.
They were well known in the industry, and in the PC gaming world, but that was it. Now a days, things are a bit different. Infinity Ward has reached a level of fame reserved for only the most distinguished developers, like Bungie, Epic Games, Id Software, etc. And even now with Modern Warfare 2, IW is still throwing its weight around.
Now, that was a long winded back story to get to my main idea, but trust me, it was necessary. The point that I am trying to make is that Infinity Ward is a horribly territorial developer when it comes to their IPs, and they will do anything in their power to protect their franchise from foreign invaders. For the Wii version of COD 4, we are seeing history repeat itself all over again. But look at how threatened IW must feel because of this Wii port.
IF Treyarch were to succeed in making a quality port of the game, and worse still, IF it actually managed to sell well, could this mean that IW will also have to share the Modern Warfare spotlight with Treyarch? So, because of this insecurity, IW has probably been secretly hoping that Treyarch will do a bad port job. So as long as things aren't being distorted and becoming things we don't want them to be, I don't think it bothers us. The Wii port is actually shaping up to be something better than bad.
That is, unless nobody cares about the game. And how do you ensure that? By using your massive influence to bully Activision into stalling promotion of the entire project. By making sure that no screens, trailers or advertisements of the game are seen until the absolute last possible moment.
Up until now IW has largely gotten their way on everything. Activision might even go so far as to allow Treyarch to develop a Modern Warfare game in the future. Am I right fyzxwhyz?
