LCS Spring Los Angeles , United States St. Louis , United States. LCS Lock-In LCS Regional Finals United States , United States. Player TA. All-Star Shangai 1. All-Star Paris 1. MVP Pick. Cody Sun Immortals : Reignover Team Liquid : 1. Jensen Cloud9 : 1, Team SoloMid vs. Echo Fox had another great week. Akadiaan is a beast right now, getting involved in almost every first blood. With this advantage he is able to apply pressure on other sides of the map.
Team Liquid meanwhile looked strong against Cloud9: they narrowly lost the series but Reignover showed that he is still a top-class jungler. Piglet was also hungry for blood, aggressively flashing in on Sneaky whenever he had the Varus ultimate TL 1 - 2 C9. Cloud9 versus Flyquest was the match of the week, however. The first two games were played relatively quickly with each of the teams picking up a win.
In the third game Flyquest had a snowball composition with Hai on Zed. Cloud9 managed to hold the aggression but failed to capitalise on it during the mid game. After the minute mark the game became really close but with a couple of clutch teamfights Cloud9 managed to come out on top C9 2 - 1 FLY.
Flyquest dominated in their series against Phoenix 1, proving once again that they belong on the top of the standings FLY 2 - 0 P1. P1 did not have a good week, going P1 1 - 2 CLG. Altec, Bullet time versus Cloud9. Altec showed that a good Miss Fortune ultimate can totally destroy a backline. With Lethality such a good stat right now, and some good positioning, this play shows that no one can withstand the power of the pirate lady Skip to 1h 14m 25s to see it.
Week 3. Altec FlyQuest eSports : Svenskeren Team SoloMid : 1. WildTurtle Team SoloMid : 1, Team Liquid had a rough start this week. Liquid looked better in their series against Echo Fox though. Echo Fox are playing better and better every week, it's just unfortunate they had to face Cloud9 this week. The most hyped match of this week was Phoenix 1 versus Team Solo Mid. The series went long but Inori failed to make Ivern work in Game Three, which resulted in a fed Kha'zix in a game with only squishy targets.
Counter Logic Gaming has yet to make their mark in this Spring Split. Their shotcalling seems all over the place. In their series against Dignitas they looked a lot better. Even though they had trouble against Ssumday's Fiora in Game 1 they managed to turn it around for the win. Dignitas are still working on their communication and synergy: they're having a hard time against better established teams and it shows. FlyQuest don't have these problems since most of their members have been playing together for two years.
They dominated both Dignitas and Immortals with Hai's decisive shotcalling and overall dominance over the mid-lane. Ssumday Dignitas vs Counter Logic Gaming. Ssumday made this game a highlight reel on how to play Fiora. Even though Dignitas lost the game, Ssumday did everything he could do to stall and splitpush. During this play he picks up a triple while CLG take baron skip to 38m 55s.
Week 2. Inori Phoenix1 : Kills: 26 Assists: 17 Deaths: 4. Inori Phoenix1 : Bjergsen Team SoloMid : 2, Team Dignitas vs. Echo Fox, Game 4, Match 3: 24m 24s. Team SoloMid had a great second week, starting strong against the much hyped Dignitas. Even though the series went the distance, the long standing TSM lineup managed to win their games through superior teamfighting and an outstanding performance from Bjergsen TSM 2—1 DIG. Their series against Team Liquid went in a similar fashion.
All three games went on for longer than 40 minutes, resulting in a slugfest. TL also had a rough time against Phoenix 1. Inori showed what kind of a powerhouse he is on Rengar during the first game. P1 didn't really break a sweat against Envy meanwhile — Arrow is getting noticeably more confident in his plays as the weeks pass P1 2—0 NV. Echo Fox managed to reset their mindset for the match against Dignitas after a subpar first week performance.
Counter Logic Gaming however are having a rough time starting up this season; they're not back to their old form yet. The third game of Echo Fox versus Fly Quest was almost too close to call. Fly Quest were constantly trying to engage on the Foxes with their Evelyn. As Fly tries to get themselves a Baron, Akaadian jumps on top of them with the Orianna ball, resulting in a beautiful game winning shockwave. Skip to 49m 56s to see the play. Week 1.
