To this day, many Arabs try to migrate into Israel with various deceptions to become a citizen of Israel. All attempts to claim Arab sovereignty over Israel of today, should be seen with their real intention: The destruction of Israel as a Jewish state and the only bulwark of the Judeo-Christian Western civilization in the Middle East. A well known relevant case is the Munich agreement signed by Chamberlain from Great Britain and Hitler from Germany in , which was rapidly revoked by Hitler as German armies invaded Czechoslovakia in see article. The P. Fatah Constitution that is adopted as the unofficial constitution of the Palestinian Authority also calls for the destruction of the Jewish State in most of its clauses.

What is Palestine and Palestinians? Jews come from Judea, not Palestinians. To deny the historical tie of the Jewish People to the Land of Israel, Arabs started using the name "West Bank" for the territories that were known as Judea and Samaria.

The Israeli occupation of the West Bank, with its continuing settlement building and military checkpoints, and Palestinian attacks, have slowed progress towards a final agreement and led many on both sides to dispute the worth of the Accords.

Israel retains full control over bypass roads, settlements and the Jordan Valley, and makes incursions into urban areas against armed groups. In , Israel completed the withdrawal of all its troops and settlers from the Gaza Strip but it retains control of the airspace, seafront and access - including deliveries of food and other goods - apart from the crossing with Egypt.

The Islamist Hamas movement explicitly rejects Oslo and its charter calls for Israel's "nullification". In October , the rivals signed a reconciliation deal that was meant to see Hamas hand over administrative control of Gaza to the Fatah-dominated Palestinian Authority, but disputes over disarmament have stalled any progress. The PNA made a symbolic bid for recognition at the UN as the "State of Palestine" in , mainly in an effort to highlight the lack of movement in relations with Israel.

In November , the UN General Assembly voted to upgrade the status of the Palestinians to that of a "non-member observer state" - a move that allows them to take part in General Assembly debates and improves their chances of joining UN agencies.

Today, Palestinians continue to fight for an official state that is formally recognized by all countries. Palestine occupies key areas of land, including the Gaza Strip and West Bank; however, many Israelis continue to settle in these locations.

Palestinian leaders of Hamas presented a document in that proposed a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and defined borders, but it refused to recognize Israel as a state and was rejected by the Israeli government.
