The gibbering stone drop like once in a blue moon! Each individual form of the Staff is used to access the SCL in its respective difficulty. The Normal staff is obtained by crafting. The ring, not so much. Crafting a Hellfire Amulet To craft a Hellfire Amulet, you will first need to obtain the recipe to do so.

The recipe can be purchased from Squirt the Peddler, who can be found in the Hidden Camp in Act 2, and costs 5,, Gold. Take the recipe to the Jeweler to learn it. Hellfire amulets have to be crafted.

They cannot be reforged. Idol of Terror is a miscellaneous Legendary crafting material in Diablo III, and can be combined with other demonic body parts to create a ring or amulet of incredible power. The entrance is located next to Brother Malachi the Healer, and can be opened by using an attack on the door. The Keywardens in the first three acts drop a key, and the Keywarden that appears in Act IV drops the crafting plan for the Infernal Machine. Believe it or not, there's a land of rainbows, teddy bears and ponies tucked away in a brighter corner of Sanctuary.

You'll need to gather up some rare ingredients to craft the Staff of Herding that's needed for opening the portal, however, and there are few clues to help you get started. Here's our quick guide to gathering all the items you need, and preparing for pony warfare.

Note that if you're playing the game on PC and have stumbled across this guide, you'll also need to find the following additional ingredients. As for the recipe, you'll need to kill Izual in Act 4 to get your hands on it, although you might have to do this a few times as it's not a guaranteed drop. When you've got the recipe and all the ingredients you need, head to Haedrig the Blacksmith, teach him the recipe, then craft the Staff of Herding.

Need more Diablo 3 help? Once you've got a Staff of Herding in your inventory, head to the Act 1 camp and then portal over to The Old Ruins waypoint. From here, head west but keep hugging the southern-most part of the screen. Eventually you'll reach a glowing chasm in the ground, with a spectral cow standing nearby. Talk to the cow, then click on the bright gap in the floor when you want to enter Whimsyshire. On console, only 5, gold is needed and Leoric's Shinbone and the Liquid Rainbow are not required for crafting the staff.

The plans for this staff drop randomly from Izual in any difficulty mode. Once you arrive at the The Old Ruins, head west following the path until you reach a glowing crevice with cow bones next to it.

This is the Cow King's Grave. The Ghost of The Cow King will then appear, and speak to you. After he is done, the big crevice will start glowing rainbow colors instead of just pink.

Now you should click the crevice.
